Hello everybody! Did Birmingham get some rough weather today at the zoo? I saw something on the weather channel but did not hear it all . They showed giraffes.
I am reading a book called Falling Leaves. It is a biography of a woman who grew up in China just before and during WWII. Taylor and I read her first book called a Chinese Cinderella. Her name is Adeline and she was an unwanted daughter of a wealthy family in China. She family treated her terrible. It is easy to read and very interesting.
Debbie and I have made contact with a professor at Oxford University who is a very distant relation on the Brundydge/Halliday line. We have come across some interesting family information. Our family was a hearty stock of pioneers. Those names go back to the American Revolution and the French and Indian War.
I am trying to let my hair grow long. Both of my grandmothers had hair down to their waist and they wore it up on their heads. Grandmother Bohlen had gray hair since I was born. Grandma Atkinson had almost no gray hair. I remember watching them both take their hair down at night and combing it out and then braiding it before they went to bed. I would like to be able to do that. I hope I can give it a good try.
