Hey favorite family! Today is a huge day for our country, I hope everyone is voting! Please join me in prayer today for our country's new leadership. No matter what happens, the leadership of America is under the leadership of God, and he reminds us of this in Titus 3 when Paul tells Titus this, "Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign (slander) no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men."
Love you all,
Christine

We are off to vote this morning...trusting in the Lord.
Thanks for the encouragement, Chris.
As you drive to the polls, notice the beauty around you. I love Fall!
Love to you all,
Melissa
I voted an absentee ballot because I was not sure about where I would be. Thank you Christine. I agree that we should pray sincerely for the man that becomes our President. A heavy burden will be on his shoulders. You know that God can work His plan inspite of, or because of the person at the head of our country. One way or another we are on the brink of some significant changes in our lives. I am proud of all you who cast a vote.
The first presidental election that interested me and which I remember so well was in 1962. How old was I? Oh let's see...13? I had a index size, silver, motorolia, transiter radio that I listened way into the night for election results. It was long after we had gone to bed. I was hoping for Barry Goldwater who was running against JFK. Well, we know the outcome. I was very upset. I cried. Of course you know I was greatly influenced by my church and family.
I have been listening to John Adams, book on tape and am now listening to 1776, both by McCullough. They are both stirring true tales of our struggle for liberty. They are worth your time. I listen going back and forth to work. Inspiring is what they have been to me and also caused me to become much more thankful for those who fought for freedom. Those men and women, our ancestors, took great risks for their beliefs.
America has a wonderful heritage and we have come to a place were we hardly teach or talk about it anymore.
God have mercy upon our next leader and upon us as a nation.
Love to all Grandma teacher
