Hello everyone! Debbie and I are requesting your prayers for the situation of Daddy and Moma. Daddy is having a very hard time. I do not know if he is just being a pill or if this is all affecting his mind. He wants to go home. He complains about many things, his bed, the food, therapy, his comfort, etc. He insists that Moma stay with him at night. She was going home at night to rest in her own bed. Well, believe me, we each stayed with Daddy a night and we felt like we'd been hit by a Mac truck the next day. They are going to try an get a cot for Moma. Daddy called her at 2 and again at 5 this morning. He refused to go to therapy today. The doctor says going home is NOT and option. So you can see that everybody in this situation is effected and frustrated one way or another. Pray for Granddaddy. I know this is hard for him. He is very unhappy and out of sorts. Pray for Grandmother. She needs rest and does not need to be kept in constant turmoil. Pray for Debbie that she is be calm and patient and compassionate and will keep a clear mind and will have a serving heart. We are not there to be on the front line but we can be the prayer warriors for the three of them and for the nursing staff and doctors that are trying to help them.
We do not want to alarm you but we do ask you to keep this situation in your prayers daily.
The Victory is in Jesus Christ our Lord!
Love, Moma Mary and Moma Debbie

The doctor spoke with us and said that Daddy needed a pill for anxiety. He has taken 2 and he is so much better. One of the techs that he likes has convinced him that to leave he must be able to walk out the door so he has agreed to go to therapy tomorrow. Praise God!!!! In addition, Mother has a 'cot' so she can stay with him each night. He is satisfied and is resting well as of now. 9:50pm
Thanks so much for your prayers; I know they were heard because his attitude is so much improved. We meet tomorrow am with the therapist(s).
BTW, I spoke with Mother about getting a small adult dog for Daddy that does not have a lot of energy. She is caving. I told Daddy if he got a dog he would have to be able to walk it. Dachshund?
I just talked to Moma and Daddy. Daddy sounds real groggy (sp) but calm. Moma said they both slept good last night. They had a meeting today and the plan is aim to Oct. 7th for discharge date. Theropists will come three times a week to the house. Moma seems to be doing okay. This information is reported to you as of 5:30 pm EST. Love, from MaryLucile
We will be praying for him! Mom, did you learn how to use text talk? Where did you learn BTW?

The ol' girl gets around! Ha Ha!!
Daddy continues to be frustrated and ill tempered but not as bad as before. He was able to stand alone for a few seconds today. Target date to come home is Oct 6; I did not stop by tonight but I will tomorrow.
Sweet dreams to all.
Well, what a difference a day makes. Daddy is in such a agitated mental state that everyone is in agreement he needs to go home. Moma and Debbie are going to meet with the social worker and nurses to start making arrangements for a bed and care at home. Daddy's mental health has gone way, way down. He may never be the same. It is sad. He wants to go home and we all think that is the only way he will improve. They took out his stitches today.
Please continue to pray for him and Moma and Debbie.
God remains in charge. Mom, let God use you to minister to your parents. This is for you, too.
We pray Granddaddy will look to the Lord for peace and strength. Has he ever really done that before?
We love you, Mom!
